Semplates is an email editor solely to provide a user interface for AWS SES. AWS SES is Amazon's email service (similar to Mailchimp or Sendgrid), but it does not provide a graphical tool to edit and manage your email templates and is therefore around 100x cheaper. It's only usable via the CLI (command-line interface) and therefore its focus is on developers and only developers. It's widely used if a company is already using AWS and our idea is to enable non-developers to build and manage all templates easily and create beautiful emails using drag-and-drop functionalities.
Kittysplit Semplates.ioGreat and easy to use tool. It’s easy to invite others and the only thing needed to access an “event“ (thing for which costs are shared) is a link. No registration required.
The only thing I miss is proper multi-currency support. The paid “Super Kitty” includes multi-currency support of some sort, but it does the conversion for each transaction at an automatically looked up rate. This is not sensible if you pay in cash (then the rate is whatever you’ve got when exchanging the money). Even if you pay by card the rate may vary (eg. additionial fees, …). I ended up converting the amounts manually with the average exchange rate we’ve got.
Based on our record, Semplates.io seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 2 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

During the last year, a friend and I implemented an email editor called Semplates. It is completely bootstrapped and I worked on it next to my full-time job. We first released it last year in November but it was still very buggy and did not have a lot of features.
