Like I said, I think of keyword.com type domains as being very early 2000's - 2010. I started doing this in 2004 and back then there were quite a few big internet marketers that were attempting to build big website properties on domains like income.com. It would be quick and easy to do, it's a well designed and maintained solution that has all the technical features we need and works well for communities like this, as demonstrated by the Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity forums.
