It deleted all my 5 hours of hard work that I had to submit for my art class. I tried everything to get it back, but nothing worked. Now I don’t have anything to submit and only have 10 minutes left before the assignment is due.

Find Your Ideal Rotation Value: I find this is not essential but does help. Open Chrome, go to kleki.com (a paint website), then close your eyes and draw strokes left and right. You may notice they are tilted. You have a natural angle that your thumb swipes across the trackpad. Try adjusting Rotation to match this angle so you draw more level lines.
