Sorry, but _what exactly_ «it seems to do» from your point of view? My «second brain» now is almost 300Mb of text, pictures, sound files, PDF and other stuff. As I already mentioned, it contains tables, mathematical formulae, sheet music, cross-references, code samples, UML diagrams and graphs in Graphviz format. *small caveat, as much as I love Anubis I'm not super aware of characterization in the original mythology, however, after a quick trip to britannica.com it seems he was more similar to hades as the soul-governor, though apparently he was anciently associated with hermes, no idea why, but he did invent embalming, so enjoy this information. Actually found this question really interesting. So I went to britannica.com for answers. And it seem that slaver inst part of any ideology. Its been used by everybody. From ancient Athens, to Imperial China, from Nazis in Germany to communist in Soviet Union. So I guess it was just a way of life, which most of us only recently found out is incredibly wrong.
