I did also briefly try https://heluna.com/ as it has a pricing modal that works for my use case and it has a nicer UI than mxguarddog. However I wasn't impressed that Heluna doesn't allow for delivering email on a non standard port to my mail server and they don't specify the source IPs they use to deliver mail to me so I can lock down my perimeter firewall to just those IPs. Yes, you should absolutely not be using Google Analytics. They don't need more data, your users don't want to see cookie banners and most of you really don't need 99% of the data that you can filter through... I can't recommend Fathom (https://usefathom.com) enough. They have a huge focus on privacy-first tracking.
