- If you want a native encrypted cloud storage, one of the better priced ones is Mega. The free tier gives you up to 20GB to use. Here's a referral link if you want extra free storage a well. It's still E2EE, but not open-sourced. They do, however, have an audit on their encryption and source codes. You can also use Mesh services on your phone even if you don't have a sim card. http://servalproject.org/ When my kids were younger we had them all using Serval Mesh for a long time to stay in contact with one another and such but we were fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of free WiFi just about everywhere so it was used sparingly but came in handy in a pinch.
