  • Keychron K8 PRO - remap mute microphone [Win10-Lenovo]
I’ve kinda made it work by installing an application called MicMute that mutes the microphone with a hotkey, (something like CTRL + ALT + M) then using VIA to map that hotkey to a button on the keyboard. Source: about 1 year ago
  • x17 R1 Mute Button Always Illuminated + Other Issues
Hello, I found this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Temporary fix for push to talk until it's added to the game
There's a free app on SF called mutemic. You can bind a keyboard key and have push to talk for your mic. Alternatively you can toggle it on or off as well. When you have the push to talk function you can toggle between always on or off by double tapping the keybind. It's a good compromise until we have the functionality in game. https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What’s wrong with my push-to-talk?
I think the easiest fix I found right now is to download MicMute app (https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/) set it up to function like push to talk.. Then switch your voice activation to open in siege and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
  • New to voice chat. How do?
But it's kinda hard to find the switch on the cord during gameplay. And the DAC is not that close to my keyboard. I think I would find a way to get a keyboard or mouse shortcut over those methods. MicMute is one app I found and might try if the in-game stuff doesn't work out. This might have bugs too. • Learn AutoHotKey by stealing my scripts
I use AutoKey on Linux. It's less powerful than AHK but uses native Python which is nice: https://github.com/autokey/autokey. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D: Windows 11 vs. Ubuntu 23.04 Linux Performance
On Linux, the more direct equivalent to AHK is the similarly named AutoKey. AHK itself is never going to be cross-platform, due to the low-level it interacts specifically with Windows, but AutoKey is the Linux equivalent, designed to interact low-level with Linux in a similar way to AHK on Windows. • Text expansion app for Linux
I've seen people mention AutoKey but I've never used it myself: https://github.com/autokey/autokey. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Ergonomic lefty for Chromebook, with a good middle-click?
You can also try remapping mouse buttons. I use autohotkey to remap the middle clock to the right click. Autohotkey is windows only, but there is autokey which might help if you are a heavy middle click user like me. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Macros for Linux? Like autoit, or automated mouse/keyboard presses.
There's also Autokey, not Wayland compatible though. Source: over 1 year ago
