The problem

Blogging should be focused on writing great content. But writers, myself included, spend a ton of time creating link preview images to share on social.

The solution

Mugshot Bot automates the process, across your entire blog. Drop in one line of HTML and when you share your post on Twitter or Facebook a dynamic image is generated based on your content.

Monetization

Pro accounts can automate images for their entire blog via a URL, including color and theme customizations. Free (forever!) accounts need to create images via the web UI first.

Launch deal

To celebrate the launch I've set aside some 50% off lifetime deals. There are a limited number available and will lock in your discounted rate forever. I hope you enjoy using Mugshot Bot as much as I enjoyed building it! Let me know if you have any questions on how I built it or what's coming next.

Mugshot Bot Reviews

  1. Helps us develop faster

Being an agency, this tool helps us to much faster get og:image tags organised. Also, it organizes the design already. We want to focus on code and thus are not designers...

    👍 Pros:    Speed|Good price|Pretty design
👎 Cons:    Ux/ui can be improved

UpNote Reviews

The best note-taking apps for collecting your thoughts and data
UpNote is a good-looking, relatively simple to master app that looks to be an attractive alternative to Evernote. It has approximately the same look, with notebooks listed on the left, the notes in a highlighted notebook listed next to it, and then a main window showing the contents of each note. It offers the ability to create checklists, insert images and tables, nest...

  • Mugshot Bot Acquisition: our side of the story
What an amazing story the one from Joe where he tells us how he built, scaled, and sold MugShotBot in 14 months! - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • GitHub: OpenGraph images for repositories, commits, issues, and pull requests
Does anyone know how to find the implementation / service in use at github for this? The blog post has no additional details, nothing. I dug deep into this topic a few weeks ago and actually build a svg + placeholder => png render service. Also found https://mugshotbot.com/, which seem quite nice, but my approach is more a "bring your own svg". - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago

UpNote mentions (84)

  • My productivity app is a never-ending .txt file
For those that don't want to manage backups, sync and versioning, UpNote[1] a has scheduled offline backup and restore in Markdown format. Supports Android stylus/Apple Pencil drawing as bonus. Joplin comes second but is difficult to setup, lacks versioning, trash bin, auto-backup, and slow react native mobile app that doesn't sync in the background. Obsidian Sync is close but expensive and the app doesn't offer... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Best app like notion/obsidian ?
I'd check out Upnote - https://getupnote.com/. Source: 7 months ago
  • Your Favorite Note Taking App
UpNote was my winner. Easiest, most flexible formatting (the only app with keyboard shortcuts for text colors and highlight colors), among many other features. More intuitive than most of the recommendations you'll see here. Actually has a formatting toolbar, unlike many of the recommendations you'll see here. Source: 7 months ago
  • Need an Evernote Alternative
I just recently switched from Evernote to Upnote and am glad I did. Source: 7 months ago
  • Ask HN: Fed up with Evernote; what are your recommendations?
UpNote is clean and well designed app https://getupnote.com. - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
