  • anyway to get entire music library on my phone?
I would say go with Navidrome and the substreamer app (for Android). I am using Navidrome for a year now with approximately +25 GBs music collection, and it has been a pleasant experience to set up and get used to. Here's the link for Navidrome GitHub: https://github.com/navidrome/navidrome and also the official website: https://navidrome.org. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Using Navidrome on a RPI3 to host my music collection for DJing so I can listen between sets
Navidrome (free open source software from https://navidrome.org) is running on the Raspberry Pi 3 which is under my desk via a wired connection with it's own 'http://navidrome.local' custom domain name. This is what it looks like:. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Looking for a centralized torrent manager
If you're usually manage torrents from Windows, my answer is: Transmission Remote GUI. I'm running a few Docker instances of Transmission and transgui has given me the best experience so far. It's lightweight (~5 MB RAM), handles remote directory forwarding, and can control nearly (if not all) the functions/controls in Transmission, to include manually selecting files. I definitely prefer a desktop client... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Another newbie question, what's the best practice for torrenting?
I am using Transmission V2.94.0 since 2019 on my TS-251 with no problems. Just make sure to use 3rd party Transmission Remote GUI (I am using version 5.0.1) which is IMHO much better for torrents/files management than Transmission Client itself. https://sourceforge.net/projects/transgui/. • What's a good Deluge 1.3 replacement for FreeNAS?
Haven't checked if it's available for FreeNAS, but - Transmission is awesome. I run the daemon headless on a Pi 4, and control it via https://sourceforge.net/projects/transgui/. Source: about 3 years ago
