It doesn’t directly address your concern but you might like https://loshadki.app/openin/. Source: about 1 year ago
Rectangle Pro can do that, if you pair it with advanced bettertouchtool triggers. But I don't think your solution is optimal, it'd be much easier to create a reddit.com webapp with e.g. fluid.app, make so every reddit link is handled via the reddit webapp using e.g. openin.app, and just store its size and location in app window presets which Rectangle or BTT can do easily. Another way to do it is to use a “browser chooser” app. This is an app that you set as your default browser. It’s not a browser itself, but instead it sends your links to your preferred browser. There are a bunch of these apps. I use Velja. OpenIn is another good one. Source: almost 2 years ago
Other great apps I always use is Rocket, Rectangle, PastePal, NextDNS (more like a service than app), OpenIn, Overkill. Source: about 2 years ago
I use https://loshadki.app/openin/ worth every penny. Source: about 2 years ago

There are open-source alternatives too, even cross-platform ones, like this one: https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/. That being said, no one forces you to use Windows either - except maybe your employer or the software... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

I've been looking for a Linux alternative ever since I mostly switched away from Windows a few years ago, and so far this one is the best FOSS alternative I found: https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/ - it's even written in Pascal, same as TC. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
Very useful, I bought it years ago and used it on Windows. I've been using only Linux for about 10 years now, but I'd like to use Total Commander on Linux. Double Commander is open source, cross-platform and written with Lazarus / FPC : https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/ But ... I am not able not to use Midnight Commander ... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
