  • Study shows most doctors endorsing drugs on X are paid to do so
You can search the database they used: https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov/ I can’t find Huberman, but it does look like Peter Attia was payed $300k by Dexcom for consulting services. Dexcom makes continued glucose monitors that Attia has repeatedly mentioned on the show. It looks like there’s even an episode where he interviews the CEO. • Is it "necessary" to try Orilissa or Lupron before potentially considering surgery?
If you're in the U.S., I recommend you look up your doctor (or any other doctor you might go to for a second opinion) on this site - it will tell you how much they are paid by pharmaceutical companies. The first Endo specialist I went to also said she wanted to put me on Orilissa before considering surgery, and guess what? Over $100k(!!!!!) in payments from Abbvie (Orilissa's manufacturer) that year alone. Huge... Source: 12 months ago

  • Trump’s call to ‘go into’ cities and ‘watch’ elections sounds alarms

  • Are You Registered To Vote?
You can check your status (or actually register to vote) by going to vote.org and selecting your state. It's simple and takes very little time. Do it now so you're ready for the November 2023 local and state elections and to have one less thing to worry about going into the 2024 General Election. Source: 9 months ago
  • Ohio special election August 2023: Issue 1 is attracting millions
Friendly reminder to go to vote.org and Ohio Democrats, make sure you're registered, register like-minded individuals, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Go to r/voteDem for more opportunities to see what you can do in your area! This isn't just about Nov 2024, but all the little stuff in between (like Issue 1!!!) Early voting has ALREADY started, but it's not too late by any means at all!! Source: 11 months ago
  • What is something you wish you could change about Virginia?
But, but... it's for the kids! (except for when the kids are being shot, then we don't give a shit). It's so insanely transparent and obvious that legislators (on both sides of the aisle, but definitely one side more than the other these days) use 'kid safety' as an excuse to push through distracting and fascist state style policies. Same thing that was happening in 1930 Germany. I'm re-reading The Rise and Fall... Source: 12 months ago
