I needed a 1800 number for my business, and paying for a second phone line and getting a second phone is overpriced for what I needed. for 10 bucks a month, OpenPhone allows me to have a 1800 number right on my own cell phone through their app. So my personal calls don't get mixed up with my business calls. The app is easy to use, has a voicemail feature, and call forwarding for when I'm out and don't want to use data.

I usually use VOIP with openphone.com and use her phone when I am on the go... But now need a phone for something simple and was looking to sign up with Public mobile for the $15 / month my wife had, but NOW ITS GONE!!! Dang those bastards. Source: about 1 year ago
Google voice is free! If you need something with a little more power. Voip.ms, sipharmony.com, and openphone.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
Hey – I'm one of the founders at OpenPhone so obviously biased here. I'm confident OpenPhone is the superior product and experience in every way. Would be happy to talk to you about it directly and show you a demo. Feel free to book a demo here or you can email me - dk at openphone.co. Source: over 2 years ago
Oh no, the latest MacOS app is actually supposed to be much better than the web app. If you recall any issues you had specifically, please send me a note to dk @ openphone.co. Source: over 2 years ago

Access to test/trial systems: there are trial systems on SAP CAL but not everyone can cough up 150$/month idle + 4$ per hour (S/4HANA 2021 trial with Google Cloud, according to the cost estimator). There are somewhat shady companies in India offering remote access but I know some people even in the US use them because it's way cheaper and convenient. (I don't endorse such companies and don't have any details.). Source: over 1 year ago
One point though: C4C is especially bad with regards to access. With other solutions, SAP is much better. You can spin up an entire SAP cloud infrastructure with S4 and cloud integration on https://cal.sap.com/ and the BTP trials. Source: over 2 years ago
You can easily spin up an S4 system to look around at cal.sap.com. Source: about 3 years ago
