JFTR, OpenVPN Access Server comes with 2 simultaneously connected devices for free. To have more devices connected at the same time you need a paid subscription. There is also an alternative, to use a "cloud managed OpenVPN server", where you only deploy clients, this is called CloudConnexa; this allows 3 devices connected at the same time for free. If you want to have a bit easier setup, you could look into CloudConnexa by OpenVPN Inc. The free plan includes 3 simultaneously connections. You would still need a VPS host somewhere (which has a very easy setup against CloudConnexa). This VPS would take one of these connections - so you can have 2 additional devices connected at the same time. However, if needing more devices it can get more costly again. If you don't have many clients needing to be connected at the same time; it might be quicker and easier to just setup a free OpenVPN CloudConnexa (former OpenVPN Cloud) account; it allows 3 devices being connected at the same time (for more clients, it will carry a cost). You get configs generated by this service to just install on each of your "nodes", which all just need to run OpenVPN as a client. Source: about 2 years ago

Try the free version of Proton VPN specifically. Source: over 1 year ago
Hey there, after doing some research it seems like the conclusion is your vpn. Nord VPN has a lack of port forwarding, while other vpns have port forwarding (proton, mullvad). That is most likely interrupting your speed. also, apparently nord does keep some sort of logs if your interested in that. I would recommend cancelling nord and getting something else like proton or mullvad (i would recommend proton more)... Source: over 1 year ago
