Otter.ai uses an AI Meeting Assistant to transcribe meetings in real time, record audio, capture slides, extract action items, and generate an AI meeting summary.
Software is great & good to see sales being considered more with CRM integrations. Only pain point is inability to download summaries as PDFs

We use LLMs to do proofreading and editing of transcripts after they are edited by people. They are good at applying our customer's specific requirements (e.g. capitalization, formatting, etc.) without us having our folks worry about any of that. We use https://transcriberai.com or https://otter.ai/ (there are a bunch) to create the first transcript for our transcriptionists. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Some good transcription solutions: https://zapier.com/blog/best-text-dictation-software/#windowsspeech https://otter.ai/ (Haven't actually tried Otter, but it gets a LOT of good reviews.). - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
Of course, there are many existing solutions like Otter.ai or Fathom in the market. But in case you want to build a tool yourself and customize the output of it, then you are on the same page as me. To develop this application, we will use Unbody to convert input video transcriptions into intelligence/generative content and Appsmith to make it easy to design and build the UI of our app without extensive front-end... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
This is weird but I wonder if you could use something like https://otter.ai/. Record your notes as you are going. That should give you at least text of all of your welds. You’d still have to punch it later. Seems like there’s got to be a better way to do this. Stopping every time to break your flow sounds like a huge pain in the ass. Curious what you come up with. Interesting. I have almost the same workflow with https://getdrafts.com/ where I only take short notes and I have custom action which sets the creation date+time of the note as its first line. But, having a separate entry for each line is the next level of this approach. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
I use https://simplenote.com - Syncs across multiple platforms. - Plaintext based (with MD support). - Search + edit UI similar to https://notational.net and https://brettterpstra.com/projects/nvalt - Simple to publish/share notes - Free (as in beer and speech) --- If I used MacOS or there were web versions, I would love to use the following (they are all better at plaintext than SimpleNote): -... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago

Finally, using Google Apps Script, I email myself a weekly summary of tracker/Todoist tasks completed with a comparison versus the previous week. It also contains a link to the graph that is published on the web. I also send this to Drafts using the mail drop feature. Source: over 1 year ago
When I want to take notes on something I'm listening to, like a book quote or a thought I have while listening, I stop and make a note right then. Because I don't know if the next paragraph is going to suck me in more and make me forget whatever I wanted to note. I have a few ways to do this. I often take a voice recorder with me in the car, so if I have interesting ideas while driving I can just push a button,... Source: over 1 year ago
