It took me a bit of searching, but it's nice to know that there are desktop browsers that are not based on Chromium or Gecko, i.e. Webkit [1]. I'm very interested in how they'll keep AI-generated images out though. I don't think trained ML models for verifying/falsifying images as AI-generated will be that useful for very long as AI image generation models will keep improving too. More likely we'll have to resort to a 'proof of work' sort of thing which could be a mandatory speedpaint/timelapse or a straight-up automated solution like Ibispaint. Source: over 1 year ago
Most illustration software e.g. Photoshop or Krita have integrated or plugin-based recording functionality for that too. And then there is Ibispaint (check it out) which tracks your progress and doesn't even let you upload to the gallery on their website without the automatically generated speedpaint. What we need is positive proof for hand-drawn digital paintings. Rather than innocent until proven guilty it should be guilty until proven innocent. Iirc Photoshop and Krita for instance have a tool for recording integrated into their software but I've also come across the software/platform Ibispaint which automatically tracks the creation process in their software from the moment you create a new file and if you upload it to their website (which is a sort of art gallery in itself) it will automatically generate and upload a 1-minute speedpaint along with...
