  One risk is that with some ISP's, the IP address can be geo located down to the neighborhood. It might be smart to use a tunneling service like https://ngrok.com/ or https://pagekite.net/, which essentially sets up a server somewhere else, which then forwards the traffic to your PC.   Sometimes a server just doesn't show up in the server list. You can try finding the server in just-wiped.net or battlemetrics.com there is a connect button in these websites that connects you to the server through your steam account.
