  • Planetary.social
This may not be the perfect space for this question, but it's probably close enough. Evan Henshaw-Plath apparently has a new project called planetary.social that uses a protocol called Scuttlebutt (which I've never heard of), which seems to be "open", but MIT licensed. I've always appreciated Evan's politics (he was a key contributor to Indymedia and Riseup.net, if I remember correctly), but I'm not quite sure... Source: about 2 years ago
  • New to scuttlebutt and wanting to host a server. Room or Pub?
Rooms are new and only manyverse supports them so far. The new rooms 2.0 is based on go-ssb and there is also a go-ssb pub. With planetary we use go-ssb in the ios app but the older js pubs in the cloud. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Why does C#/.NET is in demand in Philippines especially in BGC? How about PHP?
C# is really easy to learn and has a similar syntax with other languages. Take a look here Learn .NET. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Learning C# coming from a JavaScript background.
C# is one of multiple languages for programming with "dotnet" (also spelled ".NET" or ".Net"). The dotnet website should be your main stop for getting started. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Is C# worth learning to only get a formal job?
C# is a language designed by Microsoft and is often used in business applications and is supported on many platforms, including mobile and IOT. It can be used on Linux, Apple, IOS, Android and can even run on a raspberry pi (ARM). The dotnet (Framework part is the old windows only version) is just the runtime engine of C# / F# and Visual Basic.
