  • TV Garden(Channels from the World)
Most [public] podcasts are registered in Apple's podcast registry, which is what most podcast apps with a global search/discovery feature queries, and why these apps can all turn up the same podcasts. There are also things like https://podbay.fm that put give it a more general web frontend. I suppose that the not public podcasts could be aggregated somewhere, but I'm less of a fan of that, and there's also... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
  • What's the best way to listen to the Bombcast from the beginning?
i'm pretty partial to using podbay.fm as my podcast listening thing of choice . its free and while I haven't used the app much vs the web browser it seemed fine at first glance. you can also sort it in reverse which would be helpful for what your going for I guess. Source: over 2 years ago

  • New to this so be gentle but I have a question if that’s ok.
I get their stuff from podbay.fm - the reason was because podbay was easier to sort from first to last episode, while Soundcloud always wanted me to listen to the most recent episode. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Hoping to find a way to sort podcasts in (possibly) an unusual way
It may not be possible in Apple's podcast app, but have you tried any other apps (for example https://castro.fm ). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What podcasting app would you recommend that is not Google or Apple podcast?
I think Castro is another interesting app, especially for people who subscribe a lot of shows and need an easy way to select what to listen to and what to archive. It’s really well done and it’s different. I’d suggest to give it a try. Castro. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Why Podcasts Are My New Wikipedia
I have two layers of filtering. Layer 1 is the "Subscription" layer like you mention. I also have a Layer 2 which is not all episodes of a Podcast are meaningful for me. Therefore, I don't listen to ALL episodes. A Podcast app like Castro is extremely beneficial in making an active decision to add a podcast to my queue [0].
