Sidekick Browser Reviews

  1. So many bugs to fix

The idea of a productivity based browser is great but since this browser is still new, it has trouble with a lot of things. Sometimes it doesn't open a new tab when i try, sometimes web apps don't open, and overall its not a smooth experience that i could recommend to people

🏁 Competitors: Vivaldi, Mozilla Firefox, Brave
👍 Pros:    Everything you need is in the homepage|Looks really pretty|Focuses on productivity|Has control over ram usage and data|A search option that searches all throughout your history, bookmarks, web and everything
👎 Cons:    A buggy performance|Short term freezes|Might need some time getting used to the web apps

  • Is it still safe to download Firefox via Mozilla FTP?
As recommended by privacyguides.org, I'm trying to avoid that download token from the main link. I'm jw if those files on the FTP are just as safe/secure & all the same w/o the token still. Also, will I get one from future updates regardless? Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is the best browser in terms of securiry/privacy? And why?
Right, that's why I don't understand why Brave is recommended by privacyguides.org or pivacaytools.io. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The FBI now recommends using an ad blocker when searching the web
The correct site is https://privacyguides.org The former team left Privacy Tools and that is now just arbitrary recommendations by one guy who mostly spruiks cryptocurrency bullshit. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • I'm giving a presentation in 1 month on everyday privacy and security. What's one piece of advice you'd give to the average person?
Good new! If you're giving a whole presentation, considered starting where the PG team recommends average ppl start, "threat modeling" and point them to the excellent privacyguides.org website for further action:. Source: over 1 year ago
