  • Processing Foundation 2024 Software Development Grant (pr05): 'New Beginnings' Open Call
The Processing Foundation is thrilled to announce the open call for pr05 (pronounced “pros”), a new grant and mentorship initiative designed to support the professional growth of early to mid-career software developers through hands-on involvement in open-source projects. This is a unique opportunity to grow as a developer while making a tangible impact on software projects used by millions of creatives, artists,... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Our tools shape our selves
Reply I disagree. There are so many creative tools that are now online that you can access from your browser that were not envisioned in the original web. It is obviously true that not EVERY website is about creation (but to expect that seems unreasonable?), but even Wikipedia is a collaborative project. Examples include products from big vendors like Adobe's Photoshop, to smaller products like SketchUp, to more... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Let's compile like it's 1992
Would processing[0] be a good fit? It's designed to be easy to use and learn but powerful enough for professional use. Very quick to get cool stuff moving on a screen and the syntax is Java with a streamlined editing environment. [0] https://processing.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Penrose – Penrose
Processing? https://processing.org/ Or do you specifically mean mathematical diagrams and a DSL specifically for that? - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
  • Program a "Weakest link" for myself IRL game
I would personally use the language Processing. It's the one I use the most. And it's relatively easy to start drawing text, squares, and do other kinds of things. (It's kind of like java, but without all the boilerplate code). Source: 7 months ago

  • XMAGE.DE???? Anyone there?????
For the past two days, I have been unable to access xmage.de. Is the server offline? Is it dead? No one has said anything. Does anyone know what is going on???? I hope this is not the end!!! Source: over 1 year ago
  • xmage.de down?
Launcher hasn't worked for a week, can't reach xmage.de, and isitdownrightnow agrees. What's going on? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Daily Questions Thread - Ask All Your Magic Related Questions Here!
You can use Xmage or Cockatrice as dedicated online free platforms, or Untap for in-browser gameplay (Untap has no built in rules engine, so be careful that you're following the rules!). There is also a small but dedicated group that play on Tabletop Simulator if you have it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What (hopefully free) games should we play in our honors video game class?
Lastly there's XMage which allows for PVP with rules enforcement. It's a bit resource intensive though, so I would probably try the other two first if you're interested. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Now that we have a battlegrounds battlepass can we please stop getting battlegrounds portraits in the regular battle pass please blizzard.
Yeah only an idiot would play on the official mtga client paying so much for decks when third party clients have them for free, like http://xmage.de/ https://github.com/magefree/mage. Source: almost 2 years ago
