Just apply for Credit Card to build credit history. May be some bank will ask you to deposit $500 for Credit Card if you don't have credit history. Anyone know if these are indeed both the same entity: Alliant Credit Union based out of IA? They appear to have seperate routing numbers, but the branding and everything is the same. I wanted to apply for a student loan, which is only listed on alliantcu.com, not alliantcreditunion.org. One of the requirements is being a member, so I joined, but at alliantcreditunion.org.
