  • Students, what features would you like to see on Windows 12?
    1) a scientific calculator with history and variables with a UI similar to https://sourceforge.net/projects/alt1-calculator/ that also can do units like https://qalculate.github.io/ 2) a tiny text chat direct message program that is similarly as easily accessible at Atl1 3) a minimalist dock of as many instances you would like similar to https://punklabs.com/rocketdock, and like where WIN opens the start menu, WIN... • GNU Units
I personally use Qalculate (https://qalculate.github.io/), specifically their CLI version for this purpose. I'm not sure how well it compares to GNU Units, but it works well enough for my needs; and it's fairly simple using English-like syntax. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago

Combine it with a cli graphing tool and you can do pretty cool things. Anything more complicated I'm probably ok with latency, so I open up wolframalpha and enter it there, again, in natural language. [1]... - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago

  • Games to play through zoom!
Hey guys! I'm from Argentina, and I'm working as a video editor for a company based in Europe. Every thursday we have what is called Thursday Fiesta, which is a zoom meeting of an hour, where we speak about random things, or play games like poker, amazing race -splitted in teams by breakout rooms-, gartic, etc. One of my coworkers for example, in one of those meetings, grabbed his guitar and played some music... We do play games like gartic.io or https://smashkarts.io/, generally after our sprint retrospective if we feel like we need a break. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there some room where ppl play without cheating and w/o drawing nasty things?
I dont generally play gartic.iobut I think there might be an option to kick the player if theyre innapropiate like a voting system. That what its like generally for other drawing games. I generally play doodlr.io which is more moderated but its generally targeted towards a younger audience plus it saves progress and wins rather than skribbl.io . Garticphone.io doesnt have any public servers other than stuff posted... Source: over 1 year ago
