I'm also curious because it seems like using a phone with no strings attached today seems almost impossible unless you get an actually old phone, which either works poorly or costs a lot as part of a retro collection or something. Even my iPhone 4S doesn't work if I boot it up, and that came out last decade. Of course, in terms of using a number for making a new account or subscription of sorts, one could still be... You can also take this poll over at bettor edge, and whichever team gets the most votes, will get an extra 5k donated to their respective charity (the loser will still get a 1k donation). So if you are so inclined, head over there and vote for the huskers and Team Jack. Right now we're losing 65% to 35% to the gophers on who should get the extra donation so vote if you can! To be very frank, I was also thinking that another reason people tend to use Whatsapp is that it’s not really tied to any actual account as in the case of iCloud, right? It’s just a phone number that’s required, and so if you want to stay private, or just log in with a fake account, you can use a free phone number for verification, just as you would do with some disposable temporary mail when you want to log in to... Idk if this is the right subreddit for this question, but hopin I dont get banned XD. I want to get a verification code for something, but I dont have a phone number that I can use. I joined the Blogging for Devs community towards the end of 2020. Unfortunately I haven’t been too active in the last half-year, but I would highly recommend it for anyone with a blog, or for anyone looking to start a blog in 2022. I’ve picked up a lot of useful SEO tips that I’ve implemented on my site, and I’ve gotten into the habit of making SEO tweaks to older posts to boost their page views as well. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
