There may be better places, since I've just stuck to the same one for years now (and don't need them often enough to look into alternatives), but I usually use either subscene or opensubtitles. Jellyfin doesn’t download movies. I think you want Radarr for that. Unless you mean that your Jellyfin server is somewhere else other than the cabin and you’re connecting to Jellyfin remotely from your cabin, in which case yeah you’d probably have to wait for it to download/buffer which could take a while. As for music, I use a spotify premium account to do a remote listening session. It's been my best solution so far. A friend of mine uses watch2gether.com, its a great free option to integrate music and video streaming. It's not ideal for a whole host of reasons, if you ask me, but it IS free and simple.
