  1. Pretty but SO limited

There's no Find and Replace option. Even Apple Notes can do this. It is hard to navigate. Maybe it is just good for people who are project managers, but I need to manage my whole life.

    🏁 Competitors: Apple Notes
👍 Pros:    Responsive support team|Friendly and safe community
    👎 Cons:    Some missing features

Raddle mentions (148)

  • There are no new social networks
    > Where is the public open chats of cyber space? It used to be every tech-savvy person had their own PhpBB instance and built small communities with that. All that has largely migrated to Discord, Reddit, Facebook Groups, and to a lesser extent: Lemmy & Mastodon. There's also quite niche and bespoke communities like Subreply[0], Tildes[1], and Raddle[2] (Built with Postmill). I prefer the Reddit style Karma system... - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • Lemmy.world has been hacked
Ironically, the anarchist site that the devs used to pour scorn on, Raddle, is still going just fine. Source: 12 months ago
  • Any "distressed people" have a feeling of nowhere to go?
I would check out https://raddle.me and https://beehaw.org. Both seem to be positive and cozy spaces. They might not have all the relevant communities but it's a good start. Source: about 1 year ago
  • The final decision regarding DM Toolkit's future
My apologies, I will edit the post to redirect to the site. The site is available here. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Anyone have recommendations for possible Reddit Alternatives for after July 1st?
I've seen some other alternatives such as raddle where independent users are trying to recreate the Reddit experience with a new platform (yet it doesn't seem to use the same Karma System, make of that what you will) but I'm still curious to see where everyone is going if large parts of Reddit disappear after July 1st... • The case for an Agenda-Oriented UpNote: drawing inspiration from competitors
While exploring similar apps in the market (I recently got an iPhone XS), I stumbled upon two competitors that caught my attention: Agenda (https://agenda.com/) and Noteplan (https://noteplan.co/). Both these apps offer some remarkable features that, if integrated into UpNote, could take it to the next level. Allow me to share my thoughts and ignite a productive discussion within our user community. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Note Taking Solution for Information Overload!
Specific solutions would vary based on what OS you use. If you use a Mac, I would strongly suggest looking at NotePlan. Agenda is a competitor and Mac only as well. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Are subscriptions the doom of the tech sector?
Subscriptions for simple usage only make sense for a true service with an ongoing cost to the provider; cloud storage, email, movie streaming, etc. A subscription for a general-purpose application is incongruous; you’re purchasing a finished product with no ongoing costs, like a pair of shoes or a book, and it should cost a one-off fee that reflects the cost that went into producing it. What subscriptions are... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Ivory (Mastodon client by Tweetbot devs) is out
The best model I’ve found is the Cash Cow model, as explained by the folks behind the Agenda app. Source: over 1 year ago
  • This is why I always come back to using Apple Notes over everything else.
I also tried Agenda which looked like a great alternative to noteplan, but it didn’t really “click” for me. The app is really well made and polished, and the developer actively maintains it, but still the way it works doesn’t tick my boxes. Source: over 1 year ago
