In the bottom left of the Steam client click on "Add game" -> "Add Non-Steam game". Search the list for your preferred browser, select it and click on "Add selected applications". Right-click the entry for your browser in your library, click on "Properties". The former well-known service gpsies.com (now replaced with alltrails.com, which has a really poor functionality) had an extremely useful track export functionality, which enabled notifications automatically added to the track structure with indication in advance of need to turn at forks in the road. If you put the track into gpsies.com or some service like that, you should be able to "convert" it into a pure gpx track without the waypoints. Then re-import and add waypoints where you need them. Source: almost 3 years ago
