Try out remote.co or indeed.com, and search for remote. Some places have no restrictions on where they hire, and some will be state-specific. Amazon, Home Depot, most of the credit card companies, TTEC, you'd be surprised how many places hire remotely. Most of them will supply you with some, if not all of the equipment that you need. Title says it all. I've been lucky enough to get passed resume screenings but when they give me a take home coding assessment that's timed, I just can't do it. I think what I've been struggling the most is figuring out what to prepare and how. I've been asked all sorts of weird questions.
