• Streaming is an incredible source of Watch Hours

  I attempted to use restream.io to simulcast to several platforms at once (youtube, twitch, occasionally facebook), but ran in to some issues. Namely, if OBS or your computer crashes while using restream, restream will automatically "end stream" on youtube, so even if you come back your VOD will be split. • Trying to stream, OBS says Connecting... , Creator Dashboard Stream shows Offline

  So, I emailed them. They pretty much emailed me back telling me to try what I've already tried. Then they told me to try a Restreamer service. I told them that's the only way I can connect to Kick is through restream.io. Their last reply was something to the effect of, "Glad we could help you fix your connection issues".   That still means the back-up method requires AWS services to be up. AWS is blessed with an interesting problem: using AWS is widespread enough that it would be hard for them to guarantee a third-party hosting their status page did not depend on them in some way. • iOS App / API / explorer issues?

  I signed up for reports from statuspage.io which tends to spam me with network updates, but I like to see that that they are really working on it from hour to hour so I'm happy to get the spam. • Nothing slays me more than individual users wanting status updates on global issues.

  We setup a statuspage.io account a year back or so and push some aggregated metrics to indicate current service/system status. Best part is we can post updates to any outage / issue and it gets mailed to anyone who subscribed. Source: over 2 years ago
