  I'm in no position to give advice but I felt that having a good CV and people skills definitely helped me. I used resume.io for my CV and cover letter, and can definitely recommend it. I have previously worked as a manager in a different industry and used to receive 1-2 CV's a day, a good looking CV really stands out amongst the pile of terrible ones.   Niche job boards are pretty good if you're already into that niche. But the problem with most of them is that the supply is either limited by who's willing to pay, or anyone can list and it gets very noisy.
