You can shop around for rates without a hard pull so you know how much car you can afford for the interest rate you would qualify for with that FICO. Why don't you use Dynamic-DNS like https://duckdns.org and have the pi send your IP to the DDNS with script automated to run every 30 mins in crontab. That way you don't need anything like what you talked about and your DDNS would update from the very same pi that you are running the pi on! Source: almost 3 years ago
