  The News Channel and other WiiConnect24 features were discontinued on June 27, 2013. The Wii Shop Channel & on-demand video channels were shut down on January 30, 2019. However, you can still access it and install the Wii U Transfer Tool and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Save Data Update Channel. You can also reinstall any other channels that you had purchased.
