   A smart calendar app to boost my productivity

   I love the way I can quickly glance at the next meeting in the menu bar on MacOS. I can also get the overview of all the upcoming meetings with one click from the menu bar icon or with keyboard shortcut. It definitely saves my time in searching the calendar tab in the browser a gazillion times in a day.

   The event notifications are also very helpful as they show up just one minute before the meeting starts and allow me to join meetings with just one click on the ‘Join’ button.

   The notifications come with a great functionality of notifying attendees of the meeting in case I am running late for the meeting via Slack without opening the window of native Slack app and searching for the attendee just to send a small message that I am running late for the meeting. Thank you to the Alkanzo team for saving me from the last minute hassle every now and then while I am running late for my next meeting!

   👍 Pros:    Nice and slick design.|Timely notifications, just one minute before the meeting starts.|Runs on mac, windows and linux. i can use it on pretty much any of your laptops and desktops|Connects with google calendar and microsoft outlook calendar, two of the most popular calendar apps at present|Reasonable pricing.

   👎 Cons:    I would really love to see this app expand its scope beyond just giving an overview of upcoming meetings to also help me to keep track and give an overview of the tasks that i want to get done on time.

  I have tried several, and liked none of them. I'm currently on Geary, but it's lacking in functionality, and it has things like search results being a bit different upon each of my searches.   You could try a standalone email client like Mozilla's Thunderbird, or if you're experienced running a web server, you could check out something like Roundcube. I suppose you could even run it locally if you're familiar with PHP and/or Docker. Source: about 1 year ago

  What I really miss is a "web companion" for Thunderbird, basically something like https://roundcube.net/ or https://www.horde.org/apps/webmail, but a bit more powerful and with better UX. I'd like to use a Google Addressbook within such app, for example (there is a completely outdated plug-in for RoundCube). • I Want To Serve My Email Locally From My Linux Server With a Web-Based Interface

  Alternatively if you want to keep what you have I wouldn't recommend using the SoGO even though it's the nicest and most modern option. Mainly because it's a full groupware client and will require a lot of configuration. Instead using Roundcube is probably your best option. Source: over 1 year ago
