Napping in blocks actually isn't a bad sleep pattern if it works for you. I sleep in 2 3-hour blocks and sometimes an additional 2-hour nap, I can't sleep for more than 6 hours at a time, and usually not really more than 4. I was always exhausted. I have a Helix mattress and I think they have a policy that you can return the mattress within a set number of days if it doesn't work for you. The best thing about it was that I could customise it to my sleeping preferences, including softness and my favoured sleep position (side). Water beds are such high maintenance! My bio-mom and my dad had one in the 80s and it was crazy to lay on, for one thing.
