It's pretty bad sometimes. I've too often typed the artist name followed by the song name, all spelled correctly and not special characters like dashes or anything and it shows up waaay down in the results or seemingly not at all sometimes. Usually it's more obscure songs but not always. As a fallback I have sometimes had to resort to searching on song.link and then following the apple music to open in AM. It's nuts. I commonly share songs from Apple Music with my friends, but not everyone uses Apple Music, so they have to manually look it up on, for example, on Spotify. In the latest update of my Velja app, which is a browser picker, I added a bonus feature where it automatically converts opened and copied music links (Apple Music, Spotify, etc) to https://song.link. If you're a Spotify user I recommend jqbx.fm. It's got a small population so there aren't that many rooms but they play some really good music. I have about 4-5 rooms I hop around when I'm doing work and JQBX has a few cool functions like starring songs which automatically adds it to your Spotify. Source: about 2 years ago

I discovered a website/app called JQBX a few years ago where a bunch of other music obsessed people share music through premium Spotify. The community there is amazing (and very tight knit), I have discovered 99% of my new favourite bands on there, I usually hang in the room called ☁️ Chill Vibes ☁️. If you have Spotify Premium check out JQBX. You join genre themed rooms with live chat and join the queue to add your song choices to the rotation.
