It's pretty bad sometimes. I've too often typed the artist name followed by the song name, all spelled correctly and not special characters like dashes or anything and it shows up waaay down in the results or seemingly not at all sometimes. Usually it's more obscure songs but not always. As a fallback I have sometimes had to resort to searching on song.link and then following the apple music to open in AM. It's nuts. I don't control what Songlink supports, but they do show a Bandcamp icon in one of the screenshots on their website: https://song.link. Source: over 1 year ago
I commonly share songs from Apple Music with my friends, but not everyone uses Apple Music, so they have to manually look it up on, for example, on Spotify. In the latest update of my Velja app, which is a browser picker, I added a bonus feature where it automatically converts opened and copied music links (Apple Music, Spotify, etc) to https://song.link. No, it's very easy: https://existential.audio/blackhole/ Blackhole is Free and Open Source. Also, Rogue Amoeba has a product called "Loopback". It's not cheap, but it's another alternative: https://rogueamoeba.com/loopback/. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
This is the basic idea, but there are other apps which can make it easier. I prefer using Audio Hijack for the EQ part and sending it to a pass-through device set up in Loopback (which, for this use case, functions the same as BlackHole). Source: 9 months ago
- Loopback 2 by Rogue Ameba to create a pass-thru from the soundboard (Farrago, also by Rogue Ameba) to Skype so everyone can hear me talking in addition to the soundboard on the same line. Source: 12 months ago
At the risk of further complicating matters, you could try combining sources or otherwise experimenting with Loopback, an app that's designed to do all kinds of audio routing stuff. Source: about 1 year ago
