Splacer Reviews

  1. Horrible platforms

Splacer is an extremely unprofessional service that does not uphold any legal standards it sets forth or ones required for professional production. It also does not have a team which diligently assists if trouble are to occur. My film production has taken a financial hit due to fraudulent contract that Splacer set forth. Apparently, the initial price that you book with is and the initial contract can easily be changed without any reason. This platform breeds a space for scammers and unfortunately my production has been a victim of that. Splacer holds no accountability or responsibility for fraud that is evidently present.

Airbnb for Event Venues
Finding the right venue for an event is fundamentally similar task like finding a proper holiday location. There are several companies who have notices that and started to provide an “Airbnb for event venues” type of services. Most of them are covering US, like Splacer (http://www.splacer.co/), Eventup (http://eventup.com/), Convene (http://convene.com/), Peerspace...
8 Awesome Websites to Help Find the Perfect Venue for Your Event
Also in the Airbnb/Peerspace mold is an interesting young company called Splacer. Splacer is a well-designed venue finder currently showing spaces in New York City, San Francisco, Miami, and Los Angeles. Splacer also approaches the venue-finding process from a peer-to-peer perspective. We love this model, as it helps planners build lasting relationships in their cities,...

Lots of things that make you go Hmmmmmmmm here. New investor (Michael H. Giles) is also CEO of Embed Financial Technologies. More info about him can be found on crunchbase.com . Looks like Mr. Giles has funded, or founded companies that do similar, or complementary things like what $QMCI does. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is LinkedIn the best site for finding jobs in our field?
LinkedIn works for most use cases. Glassdoor / Indeed is trash for tech jobs. For startups, it helps to filter down the noise. Topstartups.io is good for that; same with crunchbase.com but they will paywall you hard. Source: over 1 year ago
