What's the story behind your product?

Statsy's answer

The story behind Statsy began with the team's efforts in measuring carbon footprints for their companies. They discovered a library called co2.js, which could evaluate the carbon footprint of a single website visit. However, they noticed there wasn't a tool available in the market that could measure a website's carbon footprint in real life. Seeing an opportunity, they integrated this functionality with simple analytics.

The Statsy team, already specializing in website performance by measuring core web vitals, decided to track these data points as well. After conducting research with their users, they learned that the measurement of core web vitals was highly valued as a feature within their system. This insight led them to pivot and create a tool focused on website performance and health.

Furthermore, they expanded their services to include uptime monitoring and error tracking from visitors' console logs. Responding to customer feedback, they added features such as alerts and reports to enhance the tool's functionality and utility for their users. This customer-focused approach helped shape Statsy into a comprehensive tool for monitoring and improving website performance and health.
