15 Best AI Tools for Music Production in 2023
Moises.ai is a very powerful tool for bands, musicians, and producers. It makes it possible for you to have karaoke nights and play along with your favorite artists and bands. However its 20 minutes max duration may be a problem for some users.

  • Ask HN: Create audio software akin to physics engines?
This is essentially sound design from first principles. There's a good book here: https://www.amazon.com/Designing-Sound-Press-Andy-Farnell/dp/0262014416 Note that the software used (Pure Data) can be replaced by another high-level language (SuperCollider: https://supercollider.github.io/) pretty easily. I know of no "tool" to do what you want because there are few things that are universal to different kinds of... - Source: Hacker News / 8 days ago
  • Harnessing Screams with Tidal Looper
Since then, I've been working more and more with TidalCycles. TidalCycles is an open-source live coding framework for creating patterns written in Haskell. TidalCycles uses SuperCollider on the backend, another language I've been using for live coding. Recently, I started using Tidal Looper for live vocal processing. This blog post will walk you through what you need to get started with vocal looping with Tidal... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
  • Csound
Csound is... "interesting". If you want to play with something more modern, have a look at https://supercollider.github.io/ instead. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • MuseScore 4.1 is now available
For the intrepid, especially those annoyed with the purported input-sluggishness of musescore et al, an interesting text-based alternative is LilyPond https://lilypond.org/ My dad wrote an opera using LilyPond in vim, though I believe these days he's actually doing more with supercollider, which skips sheetmusic and goes right to sounds: https://supercollider.github.io/. - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • Why'd you choose programming?
Weirdly enough,I got into programming through music. I got into making experimental electronic music and ended up learning SuperCollider. Figured I’d have to get a real job at some point and I liked learning Supercollider enough that I figured I should try to go back to school and learn some more useful programming languages. • Is this a pull off?
If you have the song file, you can also see if moises.ai can isolate the guitar track for you. Source: 7 months ago
  • Advice on transcribing chord progressions
I also use moises.ai to separate instruments - it gets rid of vocals quite well, usually separates the bass too, athough it struggles to distinguish guitar from piano (understandably). Source: 7 months ago
  • Tips for mixing vocals?
Instead of a standard media player, you can also use something like moises.ai to remove the vocal (or make it quieter so you can hear the tone, but sing over the top). That way you can try to mix your own vocal into the reference track until it sounds pretty good. You can also solo the vocal to be able to hear it slightly better (although you'll hear artefacts in the delay and reverb). Source: 8 months ago
  • Mer Dudes. Upload isolated Moises drum track for transcription - to where?
I've been using the moises.ai app since the beginning of 2023, to isolate a lot of Vinny and Weckl stuff . AMAZING PROGRAM! Source: 12 months ago
