  • 🧐 Textures.com - The site where the Mh370 cloud photos were traced back to says there is something odd with their audited logs. Rule 2: Discussion must be on-topic.
Been using textures.com for a very long time, they are awesome, so all the best to them! Source: 7 months ago
  • The clouds in Jonas' photos match the clouds in the satellite footage of the same area on January 25th, 2012
Everybody needs to take a deep breath because something reeks about the Jonas debunk. He may have been manipulated to find altered photos integrated into his legitimate data set. Check out this post today by Textures.com from a post today on X. Also... Another post by Ken S (@KStaubin) today calls into question the legitimacy of the data set. Source: 7 months ago
  • Jonas, the individual who claims to have taken the "original" cloud pics admits to photo manipulation in the past. Opposition is attacking the videos. We are in the thick of it. More to come later.
Above, you say it's shady that Jonas is business partners with the texture.com owner, when he literally took photos of those clouds for textures.com, which makes him a business partner. That's why the photos came to exist in the first place. Source: 7 months ago
  • If the video is a hoax, why would some agency create this video in 2014?
Video being real, clouds planted by the CIA later except for the 2 or 3 found on archive.org (or maybe they hacked into archive.org), person working for textures.com on twitter is a plant, stock footage altered after the fact to look vaguely like the video. Jonas is a plant. Ashton Forbes is a plant to make the believers look like idiots. Source: 7 months ago
  • The Aerials0028 image did not get archived in 2012. Here is an explanation. Decide for yourself.
We can also confirm the photo was on the website as soon as it was re-launched as textures.com in 2016. All of the other images on the website appeared at that time, it was not that single image being uploaded. Source: 7 months ago

  • Advice for a lost high schooler :’)
So, assuming you’re going to apply to design programs, be proactive and start designing stuff on your own. You can find design briefs at goodbrief.io, fakeclients.com, and sharpen.design. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Are design competitions worth competing and investing in?
Are design contests worth entering? If your hope is that a company will see your contest entry and decide to hire you, probably not. Contests may be helpful, though more for developing a designer's skills and giving them a winning or placing entry that they can use to promote as opposed to gaining organic notoriety from the contest itself. It is true, though, that being able to promote oneself as an... Source: about 2 years ago

    • use sites like https://dailylogochallenge.com, https://goodbrief.io, https://www.briefbox.me, and https://fakeclients.com to develop projects for fictional clients (more on which types of fictional clients and pieces to include is in the next section). Source: about 2 years ago
  • what makes a good graphic design portfolio?
Work/Portfolio – Basics• do not overload your portfolio with too much of one type of client, application/use (brochure, signage, packaging, etc.), or style – showing a hiring manager your ability to adapt to the needs of different types of clients and projects is a key in getting hired• avoid rebranding existing companies, especially large, household name entities• thumbnails tend to work best when they are filled...
