I had ideas to build an app, and made few 2 years ago or so. Indeed these technologies are great to start with. I would suggest going with Kodular.io or thunkable.com instead of appinventor. You can check mobbin.design and saasui.design and break them down yourself. Also best practises are never great if it doesnt work for you. So adapt.
