Which is what, 10 times as expensive as something purpose made like https://tractive.com/ ? - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
Hi all- in seeing some posts about pets being stolen/lost, I highly recommend getting a pet tracker that fits on your collar. For ~$5-10/month, for your peace of mind, it is absolutely worth it. We have a tractive collar on our dog, and there are other options out there too. It's useful for when your dog escapes, if you have a dog walker, etc. An Apple airtag is only useful if there is a phone nearby- but with a... Source: about 1 year ago
We are having daily walks where he is off the leash and it is working out great for us. He does his own thing and wanders around but he never lets the distance between us get too big, I’d say maximum 50 meters and then he is running back to me. What they click. Where they go. What they do, even when you’re not looking. All without the need for engineers. [1]: https://heap.io/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
Author here, surprising to see this blog post of mine trending, but it has held up pretty well! Happy to answer any questions about my time at Stack Overflow. I've since moved on to Heap (https://heap.io/) and we are hiring. We're virtual first so we don't have private offices, but we have the same values about treating developers well and giving them the space they need to do deep work. We're hiring for basically... - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
