Be aware that some hotels will block most VPN protocals, although we've had much luck with SSL VPN. There's another post here from a few weeks ago about why they do that. The last time I traveled outside of the US, I used trust.zone, but for the most part we stayed at smaller hotels, and by smaller I mean less that 50 rooms. Source: about 2 years ago

I have been using Transmission using a guide from on here. Has been working flawlessly until my VPN (trust.zone) updated all of their connection names. When I try an recreate the container for transmission it comes up with a list of "usable" names, but it's all the old ones. I have no idea who or how to get those updated. Anyone point me in a correct direction? Source: almost 4 years ago

Hey there, after doing some research it seems like the conclusion is your vpn. Nord VPN has a lack of port forwarding, while other vpns have port forwarding (proton, mullvad). That is most likely interrupting your speed. also, apparently nord does keep some sort of logs if your interested in that. I would recommend cancelling nord and getting something else like proton or mullvad (i would recommend proton more)... Source: over 1 year ago
