NetbeansIt is very well built with simplicity in mind. There are several themes and all of them look amazing. I love the "typewriter" and "focus" mode. In contrast with other apps that focus the current window and remove all visibility options, Typora goes one step ahead and fades down all other paragraphs as well.

Evernote was ok for a little bit, but the only thing it really did for me was search... Once I realized that I switched tactics. I organized my life into domains, and got okay at using grep to replace it. My saving grace that I would pay twice for is https://typora.io. (free) Apache NetBeans is there from ages, and one person on my team still uses it for PHP/web stuff (including the use of xdebug with it) because you know, it works. Some of us care about *what* gets into the repository, not *how* it gets done, as long you're productive. Source: over 1 year ago
