  The best thing you can do is learn unity. Unity themselves have a amazing official course teaching you the basics of the engine. I have also found that some experience in Java has carried over extremely well if you have any. Other then that there is not much more you can do. Source: over 1 year ago

  Unity.com/learn is a really good resource. For someone who has no coding experience I recommend starting with https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/csharp, especially the self-guided tutorials. They're written differently because the assumption is that the kid is going to have to teach themselves, and as such they are significantly more thorough and easy to understand.
