It’s been some time since I’ve worked with intersection observer, so I’m not entirely sure of the answer in this instance. That said, something I tend to do when I run into something like this is look at an implementation that already exists from something like usehooks.com. That is the case for many custom hooks you could build. Sure, you can find libraries implementing those for you, but it doesn't change the fact that React apps still relies a lot on useEffect hook. Source: over 1 year ago
