Utterly is a great app, especially since it's free. I think it's a good option for those who are starting out with audio /voiceover.

I installed this noise filter app on my laptop and it's made a huge difference: utterly.app It works by creating a virtual speaker device that filters out non-speaking noise before it hits your real speakers or headphones.
