I have 12 systems running under FoxPro for DOS + vDosPlus. It's a fantastic emulator. Unlike vDOS, it can easily access external folders, pendrives and external drives. Another advantadges: 1- access to Windows resources like clipboard (very handy), explorer, notepad (wich I use to print docs), internet, killprocess etc. 3- Trigger Windows batches and apps (like Nircmd, Grep etc) 2- Minimize/maximize/hide windows. 3- Reassign color palette on the fly. 4- Draw message boxes with zoom and shadow effects. 4- Help Menu with comprehensive instructions and examples about 4DOS commands and funtions (much more powerful than MS-DOS). 5- Handling of key strokes, string processing, blinking text. As a example of feasible integration between vDosPlus and Windows I can mention a menu I made in HTML that triggers dozens of DOS scripts I made for text processing. Or transform raw data into HTML tables. Absolutely nothing to complain!

    I recommend - vDosPlus.

I know next to nothing about NTVDM, so I don't have a software fix to recommend. You might be able to bypass the problem by using a productivity-focused DOS emulator like vDOS or vDOSPlus. You could also try hardware fixes: hunting down an old parallel printer buffer or... Source: almost 2 years ago
