Started with Duolingo before I got too committed to the language, confirmed I was interested and dedicated to daily learning and so got a textbook that had available audio (often found on youtube after some digging), and saw the most improvement when I joined a language site that had lessons. I read it and it looks like they studied r/TheRedPill, r/DatingAdvice, r/Atheism, and r/TheDonald, but I don't see where it suggests the results might apply to subreddits such as r/religion or other discussion platforms such as kialo.com.
