Gather Town might be a bit more popular than Wiimmfi. We know about 68 links to it since March 2021 and only 66 links to Wiimmfi. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Here's my two cents: if somebody can look at what makes the online-only parts of the code tick, we might be able to engineer a sort of workaround that makes Payday 3 believe that the servers are still online. An example of the kind of thing I'm talking about is Wiimmfi; the Wii's online servers were deactivated, but there exists a workaround that brings them back to life, as it were. I'm not sure if this idea... Source: 10 months ago
Heyo, ive had tons of trouble with setting up my wiimmfi on my mkwii iso, and I cant find any threads that have helped. Im running a patched iso through usbgx, (2tb hard drive in wbfs) and the core game runs fine, but the wii softlocks at the connecting to wiimmfi screen. Ive tried a bunch of different options with the private server setting, (from off, to wiimmfi, to wiimmfi.de.) ive also tried manually setting... Source: 10 months ago
If you launch MKWii from a USB loader, it's just as simple as going into the game-specific settings in the USB loader, then setting the private server to wiimmfi.de. Source: about 1 year ago
The mystery gift distribution for the ds titles is not an exploit and I have no idea where that notion came from. Ds and wii fan servers are being deliberately hosted by the guys at wiimfi and, as part of that, they've enabled every past pokemon wifi event. 3ds and wii u multiplayer servers are still up so there's been no need to set up fan servers yet. If you are asking instead how to still do gen4 trading even tho nintendo shut off the servers I recommend taking a look at "https://wiimmfi.de/" they host a fake nintendo server so trading works again. Source: about 1 year ago

I'm really digging gather.town for this. Our team has it set up & the ad-hoc "meetings" have gone up tremendously. You can choose to engage or not but it seems to be way more informal than slack for a quick sync, which is a gigantic strength imo. Source: over 1 year ago
As mentioned above by @yowzas648 you should check out https://gather.town We started using it this week with my team and it is game changing, it does exactly what you just described. Source: over 1 year ago
