In my experience it can be very difficult to get even decent scans of many paintings. I've had a bit of luck with wikiart.org on occasion. The ARC also has some serviceable images. If you want art/artists that pushes the Magic boundaries a bit I'd recommend wikiart.org. You can look for art based on art movements and genre and find some cool people. I like to use Muzei on my android device and get every day a new painting. Is there something like it for windows? I have tried an app called John’s Background Switcher for Windows, but I did find any rss to configure with that. I've seen that Muzei for android use wikiart.org publications. It's not as monolithic as you'd think. There are lots of engines out there but their communities aren't very vocal compared to Unity, Unreal, and especially Godot's community.
